The Formula SAE ® Collegiate Design Series competitions challenge teams of university undergraduate and graduate students to conceive, design, fabricate, develop and compete with small, formula style, vehicles.

Sun Devil Motorsports - Formula Electric serves to develop the leadership and engineering skills of student members through the annual design, construction, and competition of a formula style racing vehicle while representing Arizona State University in the Society of Automotive Engineers Formula Collegiate Design Series. In doing so, the organization should aid students in their academic and professional endeavors, prepare them for their future careers, and promote research in green energy and future technologies.
